I went to kawayana in Bacolod. I acted with KUBO of women community.
KUBO was organized 1 years ago, number of KUBO staff is 7 people, number of KUBO member is 17 families. KUBO hold a meeting of teaching herbal medicine and knowledge for raise the standard of living, workshop. Especially, KUBO has been active of health care. The background of the KUBO activity is there have no the hospital and the clinic in kawayana. So , people of kawayana doesn’t get plenty of medical treat. Therefore I think the medical problem of kawayana in The 5 step.
The Firest, direct violence is no hospital and clinic in kawayana. So the problems give people of kawayana mental unrest and obstruction of society.
Next, structure violence is poor in the Philippine . The Philippine have be short of funds. So there has developed a difference of medical care. And a medical expense is high. So it is no easy to treat people of Kawayana in the hospital. As a result, there are in little demand in Kawayana. So the present situation in the Philippines is the increase in the number of working doctor and a nurse in the center of the city or abroad.
The self efforts is it is importance of improve the knowledge level. For example, enroll in the seminar, acquire special knowledge of herbal medicine, member of seminar exchange various information of livelihood, child care and herbal medicine. So people interest in herbal medicine, education and livelihood.
