Street children
I will talk about street children.
Direct violence is parents leave children on the street. I heard from Edmund Edolina(11years old)and Rodelio Rohas(17years old).
Edmund case is his parents did not take care about him and go to Manila. They left him on street.
Rodelio case is his mother go to Manila for working and his father gets married another woman. That’ why they become to street children.
They said that they do not feel love by them parents.
Structural violence is street children, because of poverty and irresponsible. Their parents cannot get enough money for life. Children have to go to street for getting money. And more exhaust gas is been sick, but it is not too heavy. Another one is inanition, because of they cannot eat enough meal.
Self-reliance is getting money by themselves. Street children’s job is carrying water for flower shops. The salary is 50pesos by 3dorams. Another job is cleaning street. The salary is 30 to 50pesos. Job is different from boys and girls, because of girls cannot carry water. It is too heavy for girls, so girl’s job is mostly cleaning street and baby shitter.]
Obstacles is their parents do not enough money for life, so children have to go getting money for life. They cannot have playing and studying time.
Solidarity is NGOs and DSWD(Department of Social Welfare and Development). NGOs is LCP.
I will talk about DSWD.
DSWD give foods(rice and fish) to street children, but the amount is so little. The amount is 1cup of two person three times a day. This is not enough, so they are always hungry if they enter to DSWD.
I think DSWD has little problems, because of children do not eat enough meal though DSWD give foods to street children. DSWD should give foods more.
Commitment is we know about street children, and then tell everyone about street children.
Recommendation is I think it is important that the prevent for street children is love by parents. The parents should take care their child, having responsibility of course love them. And more the government must have immediate action to stop or reduce the number of street children.

①Direct Violence
Joy and Cathyrino’s we interviewed customers often beat them. They often remind bad situation in flashback.
②Structural Violence
First is Poverty. Their parents don’t work. They have to keep their family’s basic needs. So, Poverty makes her lead to prostitute.
Second is no education. They said to do big salary jobs need requirement,
but to prostitute needs not any requirement needs only faces.
2. Self – Reliance
The Prostitution is illegal, so, they should aware that. And they should
wish changing to other jobs.
3. Obstacles
They wish other jobs. But, they can’t get enough salary to pay family’s basic needs. Cathyrino’s hoped that she want to be Baby Sitter, but it is very cheap payment.
4. Solidarity
The Prostitution is illegal, so, no one support them.
5. Commitment
We call them to have requirements can get big salary jobs
